Rockabilly Surf Night
Featuring:

 The Buckrabbits

All hail the great Link Wray. The Buckrabbits are the dynamic duo of guitarist Jamie Hamilton and drummer Glenn Grant. The band has been recording and gigging for the past year, pumping out rockabilly fueled instrumental guitar music. Their influences range from legendary guitarists Link Wray and Duane Eddy to punk legends Clash and X. Jamie hails from the rock and roll Mecca of Owensboro KY. While Glenn comes from their home base of Montgomery, AL. Jamie and Glenn have been performing together for 20 plus years in various incarnations. Together they have been performing together for 20 plus years in various incarnations. Together they have opened for roots rock legends like Webb Wilder, Alex Chilton, Man or Astroman, Dash Rip Rock, Walk the West, The Georgia Satellites and many others. Their sound is that of sixties surf music, wild untamed rockabilly and the sounds of vintage Hot Rod movies with a little Hee-Haw Schtick. Songs from their "Buckrabbits" EP have been some of the most requested at rockabillyradio.net and their "The instrumental Hits" album has just been released.

With Rebecca Ivey

& The Alabama Gravy Soppers

Influenced by music from the Pre-War era of the 20th century, including vaudeville and medicine show tunes, Depression-era blues, old-time country, sprituals and the like. The Alabama Gravy Sopper's sound is as pure as it gets: Three instruments, three voices, and some bawdy tunes from long ago.

ONE NIGHT ONLY! The Ashland theatre presents Benjie Wright and Friends Comedy Night January 19th at 8:00 PM. General admission is $10 and all students are $8 with a valid student ID. This event will feature three amazily funny guys!

Benjie Wright

Has been waking up and entertaining the morning radio listener for the last five years on 104.7 WZZK in Birmingham. A little comedy, NASCAR, and family complete his recipe for hilarity with a family friendly focus.

MG

You may have heard on Sirius Satellite radio. MG's show is a high energy medley of original observations and clever self-criticism with his own brand of southern flavor ranging from growing up in the country, to precarious dating situations, to surviving as a metrosexual.

Matt Mitchell

has become known as "The Casio Kid" on the "Rick and Bubba Radio Show". In 2004, he began a two year run as a correspondent for the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno".

Tickets are going FAST for this event! You can purchase tickets at Steele Chiropratic Life Center in Lineville, AL or by email tickets@theashlandtheatre.com
